A Tour of LargoRecipes

This page provides a guided, step-by-step tour of the main features of LargoRecipes. After you finish reading and following the steps described, you will be ready to use the program to manage your recipes, menu plans, and shopping lists!

How this tour is organised

LargoRecipes has a lot of features! To make it easier to learn about the program, I've divided this tour into four sections of increasing difficulty. (If you're going to follow the steps in a section with your own copy of LargoRecipes, you might want to print a copy of that section first - otherwise you might find it hard to flip back and forth between your browser and the program.)

By the time you've finished the tour, you will have done these things and more:

The recipes we use in these pages come from The Ultimate Vegetarian Cookbook by Paul Gayler, one of my favourite cookbooks.

You may want to print out the pages of this tour to make it easier to follow along.

Icons

I have some nifty icons I'll use during this tour to highlight important details:

I note my favourite features of LargoRecipes with this ice cream cone.

Since this is a prerelease version of the program, it has a few limitations that I intend to fix before release. I note these limitations with this danger signal.

Finally, I use this slippery-when-wet sign to note common mistakes and problems you should look out for.
